PHILOSOPHY
At Life Aquatics LLC, we take a gentle approach to survival swimming. We want to equip your children to survive and thrive in the water, at a pace that works for them. That is why we teach children who are new to swimming 4 days a week, over a 6-8 week period depending on how quickly the child progresses through each skill.
Unlike many of the popular swim programs that teach the Pop-Up Breathing method (children lift head, get a breath, struggle to float), our program emphasizes the Rollback-To-Float method so that children can roll onto their back, float as they catch their breath, and swim to safety. This swimming technique teaches your child the life-saving skills to survive an aquatic accident should they find themselves alone in the water.

ABOUT THE OWNER
Katelin Morris was raised in Lake Oswego, Oregon by two parents who were New England beach lifeguards in college. She has had her boating license since age 12, and spent her youth enjoying swimming, wake boarding and tubing.
​
Katelin has a BFA from Syracuse University in Advertising Design. After graduation, Katelin worked on the west coast as a Graphic Design Specialist for companies like Live Nation, West Elm, The Bay Club, Nike and Apple.
​
In her twenties, she became a certified PADI scuba diver with advanced certifications through SSI for Deep Water (60-130ft), Wreck Diving, and Nitrox. ​
​
She has two neurodivergent children, who are the center of her world, absolutely love water, and are the inspiration behind her starting Life Aquatics LLC. Katelin is extrememly passionate about helping other water seeking children gain the lifelong skill and safety of survival swimming.

Katelin completed her survival swim certification through the Survival Swim Development Network, with help of her mentor, Nadyne Sigel-Brown, co-founder of SSDN and owner of SwimKids Georgia in Cumming, GA.
