I run my Learn to Swim program in a 4 days a week, 8 week time frame, so that we can move through all survival swimming skills at an appropriate pace. Depending on a child's water exposure, sensory profile, and other factors they may take longer than eight weeks to gain all the skills to pass their final self rescue test.  Children need lessons on consecutive days, regularly to learn the muscle memory. Neurodivergent children need even more familiarity, routine and muscle memory.

This format is the same pace & philosophy I was trained in through the Survival Swim Development Network. It allows children time to establish trust with the instructor, work through tears & fears, and learn every necessary skill to survive should they fall into a pool.
